Readers would like a 7/7/07 release but the movie is set to release on 7/14/07 so the book could be posponed till as late as january of 08. I know I was not to happy about it either. Go on the internet and you'll see its all over.

No actual release date has been confirmed, though publishers and (I think) JK Rowling have both mentioned that book 7 is likely to come out in the summer of 2007.
