As some AB Members have been saying how Body & Soul has turned into a bit of a Chatty Topic, why not have a 'Medical' Topic as well as Body & Soul. Medical Matters only in Medical and then anything that is bugging the Body & Soul in Body & Soul.

Lately, there seems to be more and more postings in the wrong categories.

Questions which are obviously from a quiz or puzzle, are now being asked under the Topic relating to the Q.
i.e. Which king was beheaded, last...C?a?l?s ?? either under P & P or H & M...

More so in Film & TV (I know adverts has been an issue here for some time!) Q asking for name of actor in ????
again obviously from a crossword puzzle...

All of the above should be posted in Q & P, where it will (most likely) have been answered 1/2 hr ago, yesterday, last week or even last month!!

Maybe it is just a '15 minutes of fame' thingy, seing their username up in lights! lol

Countless times, they have ABers telling them that it is in the wrong category or has been answered (countless) before, but this does not sway them from repeatedly asking the same Q over and over again.

To the point:

Is there not some way that automatically the Q is re-directed to the correct topic or some indication is given to the poster that : 1. It has been answered before, so will not be submitted...2. Please post in ???? category...

Freeing up the Topics from all of this, would surely mean that we would not need a lot of additional ones...

It's a bit like when they build a new motorway - seems there is even more cars to use it!!

I quite agree...I am a regular Q&P er and I often see quiz or crossword Q's in other categories .I answer them of course but sometimes if they are new users I try and point them in the direction of Q&P for future Q's.Most are grateful and end up joining us puzzlers..but there are some who pay no heed and merrily post away all over the shop !
I never look at Film and TV or adverts so I can't comment on that.
There is a heading in Arts and Literature that says "If this is a a crossword question please post in Q&P".Perhaps more headings across the categories would help.

When I first joined beginning of June, I noticed so many peeps trying to steer Q's about music in adverts over from F & TV... it's still going on now!!

A number post in B & S because (in their own words) "There are more people here, so will get a quicker response", which I guess is true, but it does wipe the other Q's off the radar that much faster, before "they" get a fair hearing, so to speak!

I used to (initially) go into Q & P but by the time I worked out or solved the puzzle, someone else (present company included) always beat me to it! So now I sit back and plod through the Food&Drink + Home&Garden trying to add my 2 p'uth. LOL

P.S. Apart from "Tasty, very very tasty" what Q is asked the most?

WHY AM I GREEN? HOW LONG AM I GREEN FOR?

(apologies thats 2 Q's)

Off to the shops now, for some groceries....
