Has anyone been to see this at the theatre? I have looked for reviews but am a bit confused whether it is any good or just a gimmicky show that I will find a bit strange??!!!

This is, probably, one of the most entertaining shows I've seen in a long while. Not only are they able to communicate subtle humor with only vacant facial expressions, their use of rythmic percussion innovations is nothing short of startling. For a group that's been around since 1987 I still highly recommend them...

Agree with Clanad - no reason why something can't be good AND strange. Brilliant entertainment. If you get seats close to the stage, don't wear your best clothes!

My folks caught their show in Berlin recently, and said they've never laughed so much at anything in a long time! I'm off to see them with my mum in a couple of weeks, can't wait!

I took my kids to their first concert to see the blue men, and it was a blast. Yes they are kind of a novelty act -- they do tv ads and guest appearances, but they are a real band with CDs. They do unusual percussion on instruments made of found materials, backed up by a good rock band. There is also a lot of visual art way beyond the light shows of my old concert going days. Plus their roots of mime and clowning. They started out as street buskers/clowns. They figured out that since they were anonymous, they could have interchangeable players, rather like a franchise, hence their ability to have an ongoing vegas show while world touring.
