'The Stand' DVD

I know there is a Region 1 DVD of 'Stephen King's The Stand' available but would like to know if there are plans for a region 2 version in the near future.

Don't bother as it is a whistling bomb of a movie.....As a true Stephen King afficiando I would give this a miss.....It was a US made for TV movie along the same lines as the film version of "IT" as for a R2 release date sorry don't know but try http://www.dvdpopcorn.com or http://www.imdb.com

Thanks SFT42, I appreciate the warning about the movie but sadly this is a slight hobby of mine. Having just read the book I would now like to see the movie. however disappointing it is. Thanks for the links, will try them out

It is being released on Region 2 on the 1st September 2003. You can pre-order from play.com and it will cost �11.99 - free postage to the UK.
