Hi Hobo. Was just looking for a couple of lines about the ocean in this Matthew Arnold poem that I love, when I found one even better!
Not all of it is appropriate as it's called 'Dover Beach' and so is about such but it has these lines in it which I think are lovely:
Listen! You hear the grating roar
Of pebbles which the waves draw back, and fling,
At their return, up the high strand,
Begin, and cease, and then again begin,
With tremulous cadence slow, and bring
The eternal note of sadness in.
It might help but is probably too long. I'll try and think of some more. It's a good idea though. Good luck! x
