Im trying to locate a novel I read years ago about a police chief's search for a serial killer who leaves playing cards at the scene of the crime. At the end the chief realises that the killer is in fact himself (he has a dual personality and is truly unaware until that point). I would like to re-read the book but have no idea of the name or the author...can anyone help ????
