Apparently his painting entitled no5 1948 has sold for �74 million. Basically it looks like a lot of paint dribbles on a canvas as compared to the painting by Gustav Kilmt (entitled Adele Bloch-Bauer) which sold earlier this year for �73 million.

Tomorrow is the anniversary of the death of Pollock in 1956. I was wondering what folks here thought about 20th century art (e.g.Tracy Emin's unmade bed) and if it's not 'proper art' what is it?
