I have just begun 'Still Waters' by this author; I have read 'Blackbird' but my memory, along with my age (38 now; never thought memory -loss would come so swiftly, OMG) fails me.
Without spoiling the story, what happened to her real family in the first book? Also, was she the girl who carried the 'Princess bed' across the street to her next home in 'Blackbird'?
A long shot, this one; any help appreciated. x

Right here goes,my memory is worse than yours coz i`m 40;the mum dies after being taken to an institution,dad remarries the wonderful Deb who dumps her in a hostel after dad dies.can`t remember much more but doesn`t she meet up with her aunt and uncle at the end?I might read it again now you mention it,going to library tomorrow.

Oh yes thankyou I remember (sound of brain cranking up). I just read , a few chapters into the second book, how she got her princess bed set delivered and it jogged my memory of her carrying it through the street in the first book. She must have been transporting it to the hostel. Cheers cyanide.x
