Rest of poem
3 Answers
Many years ago my grandmother had a teapot stand, upon which there was a poem which started "Mother dear the years are fleeting, with their sorrow and their song". Does anyone know the remainder please?

something like;
but we know the love that binds us
ever will be true and strong
tender were your arms around us
as we trod our childhood way
now your children rise and bless you
as you dearer grow each day.
I can't remember what the poem is or how I remember it-let me know if you find out!I

I remember a slight variation on that answer.
Mother dear, the years are fleeting
with their sorrow and their song;
but we know the love that binds us
ever will be true and strong.
Tender was your care around us
as we trod our our childhood way.
Now your children rise and bless you
and you dearer grow each day.
It was on a small wall-plaque. The final two lines are a reference to Proverbs 31.28a
