Hi all I've recently taken up the ancient art of Chinese kickboxing and Im bl00dy shattered. When I was a mere sprog I joined a Judo club, gaining my Brown belt. When i joined the Army I discovered the joys of Aikido and good old fashioned boxing, becoming the Army lightweight boxing champion and an instructor in "arrest + restraint" I jog 7 miles a day and have completed the odd 1/2 marathon or two, BUT, 2 hours of kickboxing and Im on my knees. WHY? Am I geetting old? Im only 46, not even young yet!!!!1 or is it married life? I've heard that being " content" when you meet "the one" but this is ridiculous
Not like you to be prawn crackered eh johnlambert ??
Yeah tried chinese kickboxing once but spent too much energy slipping around on my spilt char sui and beansprouts that I gave in .....way too tiring, I agree .
:0D
When you're young you can stay up all night partying then go straight to work without any sleep, then before you know it you're padding round M&S admiring zip up cardies and slip on slippers and it bed by 9pm as you get migranes when tired.
I'm 36 but I hit old fartdom alot earlier on account of me being a lazy cow as well.
you only give me one star as you've just broken out into a cold sweat because you HAVE been admiring those zip up cardies haven't you eh? Go arrrrrrrrn, admit it ;-)
I feel a very strange affinity with and affection for B00. Stuck oop there amongst the dark satanic mills she still manages to laugh. To me she is Catherine Earnshaw. And all this started with 2 sugars in tea.
Enough!!!
Im watching life on mars then im off to bed, I've`got an essay to hand in 2morrow and I dont think im going to get my usual >65%
Night Night,
PS, That sound is`my bones creacking as they carry my old old frame upstairs
I fully sympathise, I train in shotokan karate 2 or 3 times a week and I am 40.
Our sensei had us standing in kiba dachi while he went over the main points of the session. This was after an hour and a half training.
Hi - I'm 49 and just got my black belt in Tae Kwon-Do. It was tough when I started training in Jan 2003 but your fitness will improve. It may take some time but after a while when you look at beginners you will think OMG was I that bad and that unfit? Stick at it it.... you'll love it!!!
