I'll post this here as this is probably where he hangs out the most. Quizmonster has made his 9000th posting. He has my hearty congratulations for his contributions to the site and sticking it out when many others have moved on!
Gratters old boy, good on you QM, i have been monitoring your efforts along with the other AB'ers for some time and i am usually impressed with your posts!!!
Yes, congratulations to the QM. I enjoy reading his responses. But, smorodina, I'm curious as to how you know how many responses another person has made.
Thank you all for your very kind comments. As I tucked the information away at the tail end of a response to another question, Stewey, I had no idea Smorodina - or anyone else - would "tell the world", as it were.
PS for Aqua...did you see my reply to your earlier query, which appeared, I suspect, during your insane banishment? You'll find it here.
Congratulations Quizmonster you are a great source of knowledge and I appreciate every answer you have given me. It gives me a cosy feeling knowing that Quizzy and Andy Hughes are still around.

Puck, I see you are a Greenie...ie new here...so I have to tell you that if you click on 'My Profile' at the top left of the page, you will be taken to a new page which tells you exactly how many questions you have answered amongst other things. In your case, perhaps, three and in mine (now) 9,005. Check it out.
So, I haven't really been spending the last few years adding up my responses! Cheers
Surprisingly, I've answered 820 in the 5 years I've been here. Most of those, I suspect, before the recent revisions as I find the site very much less comfortable to use with all the sub-categories. Also miss a lot of old friends and aquaintances - Darth Vader, Ned Flanders, j2buttonsw, sft42 and many others have gone. Even Spellmaster! Good thing Quizmonster and Andy Hughes are still around.
Yes, S, I too miss some of the old-time names including Sft with his ferocious Scottishness and Tartanwizard similarly. Whatever happened to that lovely legal lady, Treaclefight and the Archbishop? And where's Bernardo, a fixture until relatively recently? Too many to mention, really.
Oh...and as for your mention of Spellmaster, that shows that 'disappearances' can have an up as well as a down side! Oddly enough I myself was recently accused of picking on people's spelling errors, although all I'd done was correct a word which might have been a crossword answer...ie one where accurate spelling was a necessity!
