6 Answers
My dear friend passed away last week aged 48 years old
living behind her 3 childrens who lost their own fathers
the same way as their mum.
My friends mother was unable to attends the funeral today
and i can only share her pain too as i was unable to attends my own father funeral myself back home.
I am trying to send her a comforting letter with a little poem but i am not good at finding or creating poems
Could someone help me and sheer me too. Since 1984
i was her nanny until 1998 and became a close member of the family. i feel horribly sad.

You can shed tears that she is gone
Or you can smile because she has lived
You can close your eyes and pray that she'll come back
Or you can open your eyes and see all she left
Your heart can be empty because you can't see her
Or you can be full of the love you shared
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday
You can remember her and only that she's gone
Or you can cherish her memory and let it live on
You can cry and close your mind,be empty and turn your back
Or you can do what she'd want
Smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
You can shed tears that she is gone
Or you can smile because she has lived
You can close your eyes and pray that she'll come back
Or you can open your eyes and see all she left
Your heart can be empty because you can't see her

You can remember her and only that she's gone
Or you can cherish her memory and let it live on
You can cry and close your mind,be empty and turn your back
Or you can do what she'd want
Smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
laurencelolo - O.k, here's one
I'd like the memory of me
to be a happy one.
I'd like to leave an afterglow
of smiles when life is done.
I'd like to leave an echo
whispering softly down the ways,
of happy times
& laughing times
and bright and sunny days
I'd like the tears of those who grieve
to dry before the sun
of happy memories
that I leave when life is done.
This poem is called - Remember me with a smile.

I lost my mum, 1 year ago and I love this
Remember
Remember me when I am gone away,
Gone far away into the silent land;
When you can no more hold me by the hand,
Nor I half turn to go yet turning stay.
Remember me when no more day by day
You tell me of our future that you plann'd:
Only remember me; you understand
It will be late to counsel then or pray.
Yet if you should forget me for a while
And afterwards remember, do not grieve:
For if the darkness and corruption leave
A vestige of the thoughts that once I had,
Better by far you should forget and smile
Than that you should remember and be sad.
