'When things go wrong, as they sometimes will and life's a struggle - all uphill...' Can anyone tell me the poem please? Not the cheeky version I found on a birthday card ! :-)

Afternoon all. Well that's finally it - done and dusted! I'm even going to shop at a different branch. Been and had breakfast with my gardener and he gave me a bottle of Bailys and a lovely card.
All this arty talk is abit beyond me. I don't have any preferences - just like some and not others. First poetry and then painting whatever next - sculpture!
Going to catch up on my cleaning now see you later! :o)
Congratsjude Welcome to the Retirement Club!! Have a lovely weekend and report for Biddy Art Classes on Monday at 9am sharp!!

Like those painting very much Robi esp the van gogh one!
How strange ... I love portraits but they have to be something like this
which have I seen and it's beautiful .I have also seen the Mona Lisa but for the life of me couldn't see what all the fuss was about .I like religous paintings although I am not in the least religous and this
is one of my favourites .
Seascapes too this is lovely .
Anyway .....it's turned cool and dull here and I am having a day where nowt goes right ! I'm in a worse muddle than I usually am and I am always in a muddle .I really need that woman off the tele who sorts your house out and chucks all your stuff away !

phew, I went to do my front garden - a 20 min job which turned into 1hr 20 mins - everyone who came past stopped to talk & it's a bit drarrrfty here.

hi Jude...was it you holding up the bird's queue early this morning? every other bloomin' shop was empty, tut....I gave up & bought some plants instead. I'll have to whizz up a sponge...when I've washed the cobwebs off me mixer :o)

oh I love the children in the sea shaney.....& I think the Mona Lisa is hideous...is that a hanging offence?
whatever happened to sister Wendy? - I loved her.

She lives in my neck of the woods Robinia at a place called Quiddenham. She has more less retreated .I think she's in an order of Carmelite nuns and spends most of her time praying and what have you.
Question Author
oh so she does shaney I've just read an interesting article about her here
If you're passing you'd better pop in with a bottle of Baileys (she swigs it from the bottle!) & a horse racing paper.
Says there, in case you can't be bothered to read it, she had a book out last year of her 100 favourite poems...coincidence eh? we'd better see if she wants to join the biddies :o)
Question Author
oh no, I've just seen into the future.....Vinny in a habit & sister Wendy in psychedlic flares, both sozzled in the corner doing online betting....
Feel I must explain something - I actually went and met my gardener for breakfast not spent the night with him LoL in case you got the wrong impression.
I see we are still on the arts kick so I'm going to opt out....
No, I didn't go to Birds today Robi My brother-in-law was taken into hospital yesterday and my sister is busy visiting etc. He has had a slight heart attack.
Been down to my Dad's bungalow today to meet the new buyers. They seem very nice and have been measuring up etc..
I'm off out again tonight to my usual haunt. There's another band on I haven't seen before. I hope they're good. The duo last night were a bit countryfied but livened up later on in the night.
Done all the cleaning i intend doing and am going to have a cuppa now catch yer later as Vinny says.
Question Author
Jude it wouldn't matter a jot to me if you spent the night with half a dozen gardeners....(must put that on my cosmic order list, hehe)
so sorry about your brother - in law, hope he's feeling much better.
have a good time tonight!
Don't get Vinny started on nuns for gawds sake .
This has probably passed him by and thinks we are talking about the bottled sort ...Blue Nun.
Sister Wendy really is a free spirit ....bless.

Honestly Jude your gardening breakfast went straight over my head ....you don't need to explain yourself to us ! We don't do wrong impressions !!
I often spend the night with Alan Titchmarsh:)
Sorry to hear about your BIL ..hope he will soon recover.

I'm off to town to take a top back I've changed my mind about and to buy some Tai Chi shoes Then I'm taking my sister out to lunch. I wish I could talk about art and stuff. I'll have to google some and see what I like. We've got light rain here which will do the garden good I expect but it isn't cold which is something. See you later bye for now :o)
Question Author
morning peeps...
yes Jude tis drizzling - it smells lovely - but it needs to be much heavier to be of any use. Even so it was enough to put charlie off going out for more than a quick tiddle & a you-know-what & he's asleep on my jumper now.

tut Vinny fancy being asterisked at that time of day....I've got legs like those in that pic...hahaha. Are you a van man? you'd better not be using our bus...

aha! so that's what kind of top Jude is changing

All my ramblings are coming back to haunt me via my inbox !!
Is this meltdown .....has Vinny finally succeeded with sprout overload .Strange things going on ..you'll have to do a bit of cosmic Robinia ! I knew I shouldn't have walked barefoot in the garden this morning !
