The sypnosis is that of a man who gets drunk, falls and cuts himself on a witch's grave. He slowly turns into a vampire, but doesn't realise what's happening at first. As the story progresses, he slowly realises tells his heart-rending story.

I've not read the book myself and am only going off a description which my mother gave me - however she thoroughly enjoyed it and I'd like to buy it for her as a gift.
