i have a large landscape watercolour by an artist called julien victor delpy and i would like to find out some information about him but i cannot find out by googling his name i feel the picture maybe french sea and land circa1800's any advice ??

Know this isn't much help but I have seen prints in coffee shops signed Delpy which sound a bit like yours. They have been watercolours in pastel colours and sea scenes looking down from a height. Does this sound likely? Might be worth looking in some of the print shops, some of the staff are quite knowledge.
