Can anybody point me in the direction of an easily made 'recipe' for fake blood, that doesn't stain?

The problem is the red colour. I used to usd to mix swarfega and "Boots" brand red food colouring with some cornflower. This was 20 years ago so Boots may have changed the ingredients since then. Experiment first and don't blame me if it doesn't work.
