They do exist and could be worth a few hundred pounds, depending on size and condition, but there are a lot of prints around and there is a fair amount of "doctoring" going on - taking a print and then covering it in a varnish to give the surface effect of brushstrokes which to a quick glance very much resembles an original oil. Your picture sounds similar at least to one of his most popular subjects "Canal de Paris".
Ron Folland was a Hampshire man, living in Horndean near Portsmouth.
I bought an original Ron Folland in 1971, for 375 which was roughly the amount left me by my mother.
So it is my legacy.. not that I would part with it!
I would be interested to know if it was ever reproduced. It is a scene of Paris at sunset, and is called 'Evening Boulevard'.
Also (for my son, at a very much later stage, I hope) it's approximate value.
I do realise that he has gone out of fashion, but his pictures gave a lot of pleasure.
