I have a couple of old matching oil paintings. Have had them for years and have often wondered if they have any value. Does anyone know of any websites where I can gather some info on them? I am not really bothered about selling so dont really want the expense of paying exhorbitant fees for valuation. I do have the artist name. Thank you

Have you tried slapping the artists name into Google and seeing what it brings up?

Well yes, and there was an artist with the same name, but he seemed to paint totally different pics. Could be him I suppose and the time is about right, but I know this is a very specialized subject so am groping in the dark really.
