Yes. Upper class english accent. He made quite a few radio broadcasts for the BBC during the war, some of which survive.

I thought that Orwell had all known recordings of his voice destroyed because he couldn't stand the sound of it. Neither the BBC nor National Sound Archive have any recordings of him in their collections.
