Brookmyre short stories

Is there anywhere I can buy Christopher Brookmyre's short stories (Bampot central- Mellow Doubt) or is the only way I can get them off the internet?

Mellow Doubt is available as part of a collection of short stories called Magic. I've only ever seen Bampot Central on the internet. As you're obviously a fan...what do you think of the casting of James "Cold Feet"Nesbitt as Jack Parlabane in Quite Ugly One Morning? I was a bit gutted, as I'd always imagined Jack as a wiry fair headed bloke (I think the books say as much) and I don't really see Nesbitt in the role at all. I'd fancied Dougie Henshall (who did Jacks voice in radio version of Bampot Central). Maybe even Robert Carlyle.... Ah well...we'll wait and see, maybe he'll be great!??

Where can I get the Magic book from? I think James Nesbitt is an ok choice, he wouldnt have been the first person I'd have thought of, but he could be good. Robert Carlyle would indeed have been a better choice. "Quite ugly..." wasnt one of my fave books, but im really interested to see what they do with it.

I've got the book somewhere so I'll look it out and get the details (publisher etc) off it for you...... What is your favourite Brookmyre? I liked them all to be honest, always look forward to the next one, tho maybe Scared Art of Stealing is the weakest for me.

Hi Sherby Book is indeed called Magic. Edited by Sarah Brown (chancellors wife) and Gil McNeil. Special foreword by JK Rowling, as some money raised from sale goes to National Council of One Parent families. First published in 2002, by Bloomsbury. ISBN 0 7475 5746 2. Think I got this copy from Borders Books last year, so it should still be readily available. Some of the other stories are quite good too. HTH! x

sherby - if you haven't already heard....new Brookmyre is out in May!  It's called All Fun and Games Until Somebody Loses an Eye.  Can't wait. x
