Black Man Ray (China Crisis question 2)

Wherever i look, i always find different information on who Black Man Ray was. The main two people he is said to be are Ray Charles and Man Ray. Does anyone know who it actually is?

When they used to be interviewed about the song, Gary and Eddie always used to say it was about the American artist Man Ray. Love the link though starmack

Thanks for the link, but i've already seen that page. China Crisis may not necessarily have wrote the song on Man Ray though, it seems strange to call him Black Man Ray in a song.

Maybe there was more that they haven't told?
