Hylda Baker had a number of "Cynthias" throughout her stage and TV comedy career.

Hylda considered Cynthia a �prop�. Replaceable. Disposable. Unimportant. Hylda fired Cynthias after just one mistake. No second chance, no forgiveness. No pay cheque either! If a Cynthia missed a cue, walked too quickly, or, heaven help him, smiled� it�s over.
