Do you think it will be Harry and Hermione or Harry and Ron? Why? And what do you think will happen to everyone at the end of book 7?

My feelings are with Ron and Hermione. Rowling was talking about the subject and said it should be obvious, and then said she will miss the arguements. This leads me to believe that she will miss writing the arguements between Ron and Hermione. I also think that Harry will finally hook up with Ginny. They have too many connections not too. Your next question would take a book to explain. I'm glad that JK is doing it and not me!!!

I have not read any of the HP books, nor seen any of the films (yet) so I presume it will all end in the style of Blackadder, with everyone being killed at the end of each series.

I don't think Harry will be killed. I also wouldn't rule out Sirius coming back. JKR says the mirror that Sirius gave Harry will play an important part. Maybe no one has ever fallen through the veil before. Everyone else has gotten to the other side by dying.

I've not read any of the books either, but I think Harry will die. If he doesn't die, surely people will be begging Rowling to carry on writing more books? Like Harry Potter and the Saga of Funding his Further Education or Harry Potter and the Sixth Form Common Room Music Argument or something.

Okay so in the first book they play a game of chess on their way to stop Quirrell from getting the stone. � Harry, Ron and Hermione shivered slightly- the towering white chessmen had no faces� the white cheesmen had no faces as the Death Eaters faces are hidden by their hoods. What I belive is that the Chess Game is a foreshadowindg of what happens in the wizard war with the Death Eaters against the Order. Ron chooses the positions for Hermione, Harry and Himself. Hermione is a Rook because she is very straightforward and hides nothing. Rooks move straight. Harry is a bishop because they are not straightforward but sideways which makes me belive that is because of his lack for the rules. Ron is a knight which is a odd choice cause king is the safest positon but that�s just me. And many of you might not like what Im about to say next but if what I think is correct ron will have to die. I say this because if you go back to the chess game, in the SS/PS they look shaken when the first knight is taken. Who could the knight be in the Wizard War? Why Sirius of cours. And for those of you who belive that he is still alive go back to the OotP. JKR says she often speaks through Dumbledore and Dumbledore said that Sirius was dead. So the first knight down was Sirius. But if you still don�t belive me what is the piece that takes out the knight? The queen.Who is the Death Eater Queen? Bellatrix Lestarnge. Who murdered Sirius Black?

heres my second part � Every time one of their men was lost the white pieces showed no mercy. Soon there was a huddle of limp Black Players Slumped against the wall. Ron himself darted around the , taking almost as many white pieces as they had lost black ones.� Order members and voldemorts death eaters are dying. Towards the enof the chess game Ron realizes that he needs to sacrifce himself so Harry can check the king (Voldemort). Ron sacrifices himself so Hary can kill Voldemort. Ron says that there�s no other way for them to win without him sacrificing himself which means that harry cant kill Voldemort unless ron dies.

i think harry and cho will get back together because at the end of book 5 him and her still look at each other in a special way. ron and hermonie will get to gether and dombeldore will die of old age minutes after harry kills lord voldermort

I like the analogy the redneckgurl came up with. I'm thinking that harry needs to help protect the half blood prince (takes the place as the king) as bishop since he holds an almost worshipful position in the wizarding community. Ron and (I think) Neville can play the part of knights, but I'm really hoping neither of them die....

very deep of you redneckgurl. best insight i've read yet. although you could be completely wrong and hence that would lead one to believe that you're just outright nuts. :o) Made me think anyway. Would JKR do that to her readers though?? i mean she's even admitted that she cried for hours when she killed Sirius. i can't imagine what killing Ron would do to her. anyway, him dying would surprise me, but i guess if you look at it, you can see a scenario that he would die. Something needs to happen to make Harry able to kill someone, he tried the Avadra Kedavra curse on Bellatrix Lestrange and couldn't kill her and she commented "you have to want to kill someone" or something to that effect. so maybe Ron dying would be the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back and enables Harry to kill.

and wouldn't one assume the ascention of NEville's confidence and skills are to infact duel with Bellatrix Lestrange? to seek revenge for his parents? that's why i think she's building him up. It would make sense no?

that would make sense...Neville should have enough "want" to kill Bellatrix b/c of his parents. I'm leaning toward Voldemort killing someone close to Harry for him to have enough want to kill. Harry's greatest strength is love, and even after watching Bellatrix kill sirius, he could not muster enough "want" to kill her. Who would have to die for Harry to have that much anger....

I think I have another analogy to redneckgurl's likeness of Hermoine and a Rook. A rook is a cornerpiece on a starting board, corners hold a certain amount of authority in literature - the four winds, the four corners of the world, etc. But a corner is a pillar, something to hold everything up, Hermoine and her knowledge helped Harry against almost every trial he has faced. Another reason Ron (JKR) placed Hermoine in that spot instead of the bishop's spot. JKR doesn't do too much by chance.....

I wonder who would have to die, to cause Harry enough anger to kill? I mean, he should have been able to kill when Sirius died. Who does he love more than Sirius?

I belive that eventuly that Ron and Herminoie will get together possibally in the sixth book and that will drive Harry to find some comfort in some one. I think mabye that it would be Ginny because she talks Harry through problems and then he discovers his real feeling. BUT thats just me.

i think that you all have great ideas. i don't know anything about chess, but that was awesome! i think that ron and hermione will get together. i also think that harry and ginny will get together. there is a lot of foreshadowing about that. but here is my question. we know all about lily's family...where is james' family? i mean if harry is half wizard would that mean that james was pure blood? and why isn't that side of the family ever mentioned? since sirius died, harry has no one...harry is going to end up being related to someone very important.

could harry b related 2 dumbledore. i mean he kind of favors harry. i dont no how else to say it but he does. dumbledore didn't want harry growing up with everyone knowing him. but i doubt it i like ur theory that harry may be related 2 someone very important. good job to who thought of that.woohoo!!
