An air of pretentiousness? Actually, don't put that, your teacher will crucify you. Though it's probably true.

central idea about the essay
central idea
the central theme depicting how cruel the winter has been for her not just physically but psychologically as well as emotionally.
the theme of this article "coming home" by marjorie waters is dealing with the grief and pain that comes with the unexpected death of a close loved one . to the narrator , this has been by far the most difficult experience in her life almost to the point that she thought she wouldnt be able to be herself again . she felt cut loose from reality , feeling only weightlessness . starting and ending the essay with "the cruelest of winters " signals the reader that something terrible had happened but the house/narrator ,nonetheless, survived through the ordeal.
