how long to questions remain for?

How long do questions remain on the AB for? I ask because I wanted to re-read some answers to a question I posted ages ago, when the AB site was still fairly new, but I typed the word in Category Search and there are no hits. So are old questions somehow dropped?

As far as I know, they are held indefinately. Maybe, no-one ever answered your question. Also make sure you search from the Answerbank front page, because if you search from the wrong section you will never find it. I get emailed whenever someone responds to one of my questions (maybe this is something you have to turn on). And I regularily get emailed responses to questions I posted years ago or had forgotten about!
