(This is a rerun of a question I asked a while back in the main category. Didn't get any replies there - could it be that the real buffs dwell in subcategories only? Sorry to be such a pain in the proverbial but I really want that poster - if indeed it exists.)

I used to own a black-and-white photo postcard from a Martha Graham production where dancer Merce Cunningham comes flying through the air in one giant leap. A woman (Graham?) sits at her desk in a jaded pose studying his flight toward her as if she were assessing his flying techniques rather than anticipating his company. Cunningham's body is cram full with energy, he's like a spring just released; looking at the picture you feel he must surely bounce once he lands.

I'd love to have this photo on my wall as a poster but haven't been able to find it. I'm good at advanced googling but search engines do provide different results in different countries - so if you're in the mood for some googling and you don't live in Sweden...

Daughter's birthday now, 22yrs old, will still worry tonight as she's off in Bar�a for a night out. Just sent me a mms photo of a large birthday cake which her flatmates bought for her, how sweet, am off to bed now. nite nite. (Anyone here remember when they were young enough to go out at 1am - and I'm not counting jude as she's still capable of anything !!)

Kit The books are Winston's War,Never Surrender,Churchill's Hour and Churchill's Triumph .It's a series .You can look them up on Wiki .They are not exactly biographies .All based on fact of course and lots of little cameos of the people surrounding him at the time .I found them a really good read .Dobbs is the chap who wrote the political thrillers House of Cards etc .
Thing is here with the teevee ..they have loads of good things on ....all at once ! Then you get nothing on some evenings .
Here's a cryptic clue for you Vinny ..really easy ..you should know the answer !

Ha ha Robinia how are you doing with the ants. I thought you'd beaten them. /Waft from side to side, does that mean turn and turn again... and again... and again... 'cos if it does, then your brain must be really agile. Well we knew that already, but still, I'm impressed. This site is more beautiful albeit less instructive than the first one I posted.

ooh yes, I remember one of the early Times crossword clues... Die of cold (3,4)... it was ice cube. And 'foreign entanglements' turned out to be spaghetti. Well, back to working on my photos. I even put a Q under Computers to see if there is a way of shrinking them so they leave me a little corner of space on my putah to play solitarie.

Afternoon Biddyfriends The hour less has sent me all to pot. I didn't get up til 9. 30.(8.30) which is unusual for me expecially as I didn't go out last night. Just arranged to go to a country and western evening tonight. Not into it very much but it's somewhere to go.
Hope you are all having a good weekend. It's a fantastic day here and could be in the garden doing something but I have arranged to go for a walk with my sister instead.
You've all been making me laugh with your comments about my nights out and T'bag and Gman. They are both nice personalities but very different. I don't get out as much as I used to but I take every opportunity to go places.
Have to go and wash the pots now. (Dont have the luxury of a dish washer - except me of course!!)
I have managed to do the lady silhouette but I never finished the block puzzle got up to stage 32 then gave up!!

I've been watching that video again that Vinny posted (jno and her sister), it just gets more fascinating. I keep wondering how many seconds before I would have messed up - five? I'll post that one to some of my younger relatives on Facebook. And I found an excellent word search generator thanks to your mentioning it, Robinia; sent it to my nephew who has just graduated as a teacher.

(Of course there was lots of stuff going on just for the hell of it, too - I have no doubt you've had your hair pulled in less honourable situations as well, he he he.)

I should re-pot some plants. Never ever managed to do that without getting soil all over the place. I'm like you Shaney, you once said how your new and elegant clothes will hang raggedly on you five minutes after you've put'em on - as if you'd been pressing yourself through a mole tunnel or something. (Those may not have been your exact words...) Oh well I do have my inner gracefullness... But then, who cares about inner beauty - not even the chickens

I could spend two weeks trying to look reasonable and still look as if I have been dragged through a hedge backwards .
I remember a very important date many years ago with a lovely guy and spent hours titivating ..as you do ..and when I arrived at the Palais ..or wherever it was ,I had a great blob of toothpaste down me frock !Tut ...
it's been a lovely day here,quite mild , and I've been putting my new loppers to the test .Makes your arms ache a bit though ..I shall have muscles like Popeye soon at this rate. I am must go... I seem to have lost an hour . I looked under the bed but it wasn't there ..............

email from #2 sister saying she is trying to fly round Australia but everything's in a muddle because Sydney went back to winter time today but Melbourne isn't bothering for another week. Goodness, tricky business. Imagine if Norfolk decided to put itself in another time zone for the odd week.
