Does Grimes from Decline and Fall appear in any of his other books? Vile Bodies (I'm only a few pages in) has got wossname... Mrs Metroland I think it was... in it already. I can appreciate it if Waugh didn't want want to carry on with the character, leave it for the audience to imagine, but he was cool. I would love it if he popped up otherwhere.

nope, sorry! no more grimes! lady metroland appears in decline and fall, vile bodies, and a handful of dust, as do some of the other 'high-society' characters. none of the others from decline and fall are in any of the rest of the books though. enjoy waugh - he's my favouritest author ever..!
