Whats your favourite food which you enjoy when you come in out of the freezing cold?

I love a nice steaming bowl of vegetable soup with plain bread and then a homemade shepherds pie with peas. Washed down with a steaming mug of tea. Sorted!

Cold?

Been lovely and warm 'ere in Lancs today, so warm in fact I was brave enough to venture out without a coat on today!

Granted it's cold now mind.

tTo answer your question though mine would have to be scrambled egg on toast.

And finally, hello H!!! :-)

Funny -dont want to steal yer thunder -but when off diet-thats exactly what I crave -exactly.Is it a scottish thing -thats my comfort food -not chocolate.

Strange that !!! x

(had to have a quick look in case funnygirl had posted and she thought I was meaning her -lol)
It went OK Haysi thanks. Have o wait a couple of weeks before I see my senior boss cos shes on leave but the bully will be going to another dept. Phew!!!

hi weeal, I love Irish stew too, and stewed sausages with plenty of onions, carrots and turnip.

Dris, winter food is definitely not diet food LOL I cant eat shepherds pie without plain bread and plenty of butter - heaven! xx
hi haysi, yeah it kinda sticks to the ribs eh, winter food is comfort eating
Hiya Dris, did you say it was your sons birthday today hun? If so happy birthday to him xxx

OMG you lot are making me hungry now!!! Lol xxxxxx

tigger realises she doesn't have the correct ingredients for a cheese board - drat!
Tea at 7pm is all wrong, unless you are a female babbling on here. Budweiser, KP Salt 'n' Vinegar peanuts, and a nail clipper.
Have consumed a lot of cup a soup in our renovation place but now the heats on we tend to work thru. Home late afternoon for bacon butties which hit the spot and now waiting for home made fish pie, and a cauli cheese to go with it, to finish cooking.

Probably too much to have a pud after that, but my son bought a box of Roses chocs which will do for later.

Yes, it's been cold but the trees were stunning today, frosted white all day.
Sticks to yer ribs braw -aww I still say that lol

I still called homemade soup 'kale' until I was about 18 -no joke -I didnt know that was notther Scottish thing.

I now know its a type of cabbage -but I can still hear people saying 'come on inside and get a plate of kale doon ye -that'll stick tae yer ribs'.

Aww Hays thanks for the memories and you weeal -even tho you didnt mean it directly xxxx

Glad work went well for you tiggerblue and that the bully is being moved, we spend way too much time at work and its rotten if that time is being ruined by a bully.

Happy birthday to your son Dris xx

McWhiffster, EVERYONE drinks tea whilst posting on chatterbank. I dont know a single soul who would drink alcohol before 7.23.
