Hi everybody
I have an oil painting signed by William Hoffman.
It shows a clown who is balancing on a rope holding an umbrella and a second clown face in the background. I would very appreciate if someone can give me more information about this artist and the value of his paintings! Thanks, Peter

Although William Hofman died a few years ago now, he lived at one time (1966) in Woodland hills, California, and painted in his spare time. His wife was also a solo artist as well. William'd sell his paintings to folk who admired them, but one of the clown paintings (not the one you describe), sold for a mere $25. Apparently he was a pleasant person, and up until 2005, had at least one surviving brother.
clown painting is the most difficult task ever, if you not paint it properly it will shows the opposite meaning http://www.afuntimeclownorfairy.com.au/feedback.php
