Ages ago I read a series of 3 childrens books about some kids who find out they have special powers (bit like x-men but with school kids). One of the books had a picture of a face with a third eye on the forehead (ie symbolising ESP or something). Anybody know the books I'm talking about? Author, title, anything? I got them from a school library so they're aimed at kids.

Thanks for your reply. Yes those books do sound familiar, with the psychic powers and the book cover with the eye. But the ones I'm thinking of were part of a trilogy- do you know if those two are related? I vaguely remember that there were several kids with different powers who met up or got brought together or something. And one/ a couple of them got kidnapped by some bad guys and the others had to find them (at the end one got put into a sensory deprevation tank by the bad guy to try and make her tell them something but she was in telepathic communication with another guy who had to keep hurting himself to keep the connection). Ring any bells for anyone???
