I have had a question from a friend who is just getting into Rahsaan Roland Kirk. She asks if I can recommend his best work. I was about to reply "impossible" given that you never knew what you were going to get from one Kirk record to the next. Or, in his case, what "best" really entails. So ... can any ABers come up with some thoughts on this? I'd like to be able to say to her: get these three discs and you'll have a pretty good overview. Or something like that.
