I have all 3 of these and have read them over and over again. I highly recommend them, but make sure you have tissues to hand!
'The Separation' by Christopher Priesy is a good recent WW2 novel, if you fancy something a little different.

I read Goodnight Mr Tom which is set during the second world war. Its the story of a boy evacuated from London to the country. I read it because my daughter was given it to read and I had never read it I wasn't too sure if it was suitable for her. Luckily I did, as I think she is a bit too young (7). It is so sad and you really feel for this boy and I loved this book.
