I read a trilogy of books when I was younger, and it was about aliens conquering the earth and the fight back by the humans lead by the main character - Hood (I think). The first book they discover that laser weapons are usless against the aliens sheilds but old weaposn like crossbows etc can penetrate their shields, the second book called was called "slaveword" again not too sure, and the final book was called "liberation" not sure about these titles, can you help?
