I remember seeing a play of Alice in Wonderland/Alice Through the Looking Glass on TV in the late 60's or early 70's. The characters were from real life (something like a solicitor for the March Hare, banker for the Dormouse , schoolteacher for the Red Queen etc). It was coming from the angle that Lewis Carroll perhaps wrote the book based on real life characters, but gave them animal and other forms in the book. Does anyone else recollect this TV production? I'd like to see it again, if that is at all possible, but I don't know how to go about beginning to look for it. Any ideas please?
WOW! Thanks very much for your excellent and quick reply. That's just what I needed! It was the Jonathan Miller version I wanted. The only downside is that it was in 1966 so that makes me feel even older! At least I still have (a little bit) of a memory, though. Thanks once again.
