Name of children's rhyming book

In 1994/5 we had a children's picture library book about a boy who went on a picnic tea with his mum, sister and a teddy (called Mr McPhee/Gee or something similar). The bear got left at the park and the boy had to wait until the morning to go and find him. I thought the book was a BBC publication, but can't find anything like it. I would love to read it again (it was my daughter's favourite!) It was not 'This is the bear and the scary night' by Sarah Hayes
