I DON'T KNOW PLEASE HELP PEOPLE!!!!
Google it.
isnt it a 'mixture' hang on will google it
it's just a solid that is suspended in a liquid
a mixture of two chemicals with the character that one does not rapidly settle out

I think you will find that the matter refers to IN suspension,
as like the cough mixture you get when you have to shake the bottle.
This substance is generally refered to as IN SEDIMENT,

The other type suchas ink etc would be known as IN SOLUTION, as sediment does not settle.
