Painting of Christ on the Cross

Can anyone tell me the name of the painting of Christ on the cross, which is painted as if looking down on him from above? It is a very dark background. It used to hang in one of the passages at my school and I was talking about it to someone the other day, and it's very annoying to not remember the name! (Old age setting in!)
