Does anyone know the correct Flag for Northern Ireland. Seems to be some dispute here as to what is the "correct " flag for Northern Ireland. Does anyone know or does anyone have any links where I can check it out?
ChuckF thanks for that , still doesn't answer my question though as there doesn't seem to be one flag for N Ireland. There is one for Ulster, one for Provisional Ulster and one for St. Patrick and some possible suggestions. if you wanted to use a flag in a non-policital arena, say, sport, the Irish Cricket team have had to make their own up. Wickpedia says there is no official flag but lots of different ones so I guess that is the answer. There isn't one.
I don't think there is a correct flag at the moment in N.I It depends on what area you go into, there is the Union Jack, Tricolour, Ulster Flag, quite a variety of others to suit the occasion, but no offical flag as yet!.As N.I is part of the Uniited Kingdom the Union Jack is probably the correct flag!!
The correct flag for N. Ireland is the one that looks like the flag of St. George with the red hand and the crown at the centre. it's officially recognised as such by most international organisations. There is also the flag of the province of Ulster, which has a yellow background and no crown.
