Short story

I'm trying to remember the name or author of a short story I read years ago. Here's what I remember about it:
a) It's based in Ireland and concerns the life and death of a fisherman.
b) the story is told in a series of chapters named after the days of the week but each new day is several years apart
c) it was published in paperback along with other Irish short stories
Not much to go on, but I'd be glad if anyone could help me identify it.
