Quite some years ago, someone brought a painting to the AR that turned out to be a known but lost painting from the collection by a particular artist. It portrayed soem Bedoiun Arabs sitting around a campfire at night in the desert. Can anyone recall the artist as I recall really liking the picture and would like to see it again?

Moments after posting this I found it. It was "The Halt in the desert by Richard Dadd".

I think it was sold to the British Museum

'Mad Dadd' - killed his father, thinking he was the devil, and went to Broadmoor, but he was allowed to go on painting This is his best known work, also in the BM
