A picture of my dad in the 1970s, and i'm trying to get hold of a copy of the poster in the background. He bought it from a stall or shop in Coventry, possibly in 1974, and behind his head are two boys wearing vests/tank tops - one of them is climbing the tree (maybe). Anyone recognise it, or able to supply me with any info at all? Particularly whether or not it is the Parthenon in the background, as this is really what i've been basing my google searches around. Many thanks!

My son doesn't think it is the Parthenon as that was on a hill and the ruins in your poster are on flat ground.
Try basing your search around fantasy artists in the 1970's.
Dunno if it might help, but it looks like the temple of Hera and Poseidon:

actually, it looks a bit like St Paul's - that tower behind the pillars with the round windows

I suspect it's imaginary.

Link works fine for me too. Cos of the dark sky I did wonder if it was anything to do with veuvius. Tried checking for any online cinema posters but got nowhere.
