Who wrote this poem?

I copied down a poem years ago and didn't put the poet's name. Does anyone know who wrote it? It goes:
A thousand pities should March pass
Without you seeing fresh green grass,
Or ( far too busy all day long)
You never hear the skylark's song,
Or know some magic moment spent,
Amid a garden's springtime scent.

I caught the maiden Spring...quite unaware,
I saw the limbs of beauty she possessed
And then, as if embarrassed by my stare,
She trembled for a while...
.....and then, she dressed.

The other night I had a dream,
T'was one I can't ignore,
I stood - a prisoner, in a field
I'd never seen before.

The other fields were filled with blooms,
Their fragrance filled the air'
it isn't right, I grumbled -
That mine should be so bare

I plodded grimly up and down,
Bewailing loud my fate
Till broken petals on the ground
Cried out - too late - too late

I'd been so busy envying
Those other fields so sweet,
My foolish eyes had failed to see
The blossoms at my feet.

Strange he has lifted a stanza and knows nothing more? Will keep looking.
