Sick Joke?

So, was it all a sick joke then? A blind man asks for help for people to read his favourite books onto tape or CD and to come onto AB and say they will and after the initial contact, disappear without any reason why! I am that blind man and though I have had to say a sad sorry to one reader, I have two brill people doing their best and one who had a cold and was waiting till they got better...but even that person has not been in contact since. So what have I done wrong? Not mentioned how much money it would cost?...I will pay if it has to come down to that, but civility would at least demand some kind of response, even if it was 'no, I made a mistake'. Just think about something you love so much but cannot have, but there is a chance if you just asked and that is what I did and the minority speaks louder than the majority, the majority of those who said they would be interested. This sounds bitter, for which I am very sorry, but the facts speak for themselves. Thank You and Goodnight...Ta Muchly.

Well, joko, the world is full of differing opinions and you've certainly had yours and though I did see the error of my ways in earlier threads where I prostrated myself with sincere apologies and acceptance of great gratitude, I did not demand anything and that is not playing cemantics, as demand is an emotive word, I just asked if the readers would or could consider doing character voices and though I did ask for demos, I did not demand that they should do so if they were not prepared to do so, either with voice or demo and I only asked what mike they would be using and certainly did not suggest that they buy certain mikes.
I did leave my email for people to contact me, so that we could discuss what books I had and what the books were about (boxtops) and those good people who have contacted me, I hope I have been polite and correct in response to their emails.
I can only say again that I am tremendously grateful for those who have offered to read and those who are reading and I have replied to those who have contacted me with heartfelt gratitude for the work involved...though I owe China Doll a mail!
I could say that I just wanted things to be perfect, but joko would probably think that a slur in some kind of way, so I will again apologise to anyone I have upset with my words.

Thank you B00, I am truly humbled by your support...smile.
Hope all is going well now woodelf, sorry I found it too much to help with the reading, but I think that it came over to joko as it came over to me! I found it all rather overwhelming! after agreeing to 'just read a book out loud' it all seemed too complicated! however, I hope it all goes well for you.................

Yes Welsh, things are going very well with the book readings and I have since mailed you saying that you could read Catweazle however you liked to do so, but as I have had no reply then hey ho...?
you see woodelf...even that last comment, particularly - 'since ive had no reply, hey ho...?' sounds somewhat cheeky...since welsh has already made their feelings clear... you still push and seem afronted...

perhaps all this is down to your 'way with words'...maybe you do not mean to come across the way you do, so perhaps you should re-read before posting...? just to stop anyone being ruffled by you in future...
Question Author
joko, I never had any intention...or have...of being pushy or ruffling anyone and I accept that Welsh seems no longer interested in reading for me...and I use the word 'seems' as I know not Welsh's mind, though no doubt you will pick up on that also, being the obscilliant person that you are...smile.
