The Snow Goose by Paul Gallico/music by Camel
4 Answers
When I was at school many years ago my music teacher played us a version of the Snow Goose and in the background was the accompanying music by Camel. I've never been able to find out exactly who this was by - I've heard of audio versions of the story, but not with Camel's music included. I know this is a longshot, but can anyone shed any light on this?

But the version I've not been able to trace is the actual story by Paul Gallico being narrated, with the music accompanying it. I'm beginning to wonder, in fact, if maybe my teacher had two records/tapes (we're talking the late 70s here!) and played the the story narration on one and the music on another!
I have the ORIGINAL The Snow Goose album (12" 33rpm vinyl)
It is narrated by Spike Milligan .. surprisingly.
I had bought it originally .. and old girlfriend in the 80's .. her mother loved it so much .. the story of Fritha, the girl, and how she becomes to fall in love with Philip Ryader, and the coming and going of the Snow Goose each year.
I bought the original album again a few years ago. I spotted on eBay.
Camel is used as incidental music, but is a pretty poor album to listen to in itself.
