I was determined to find an answer to this question for you - I was bored.

But I had no luck either.

Can you remember any other phrases in the poem?

Is it an old poem? Famous?

Can't remember more of it, but it was probably written early to middle of last century, and by a man It was in an anthology I picked up from the library about 15-20 years ago
I have also searched for you dearest rowan without any luck so far. Will have another go but cannot promise anything ! xx

found it!!! found my poetry book anyway...got the title wrong its the tender and wanton where they cross happy bunny...found the other one I'd been searching for too...
