Having read both Birdsong and The Fatal Englishman, can anyone suggest any other material by the author which would be enjoyable reading?

I really enjoyed On Green Dolphin Street - about 1950s America and the fallout from WW2.

The Girl at the Lion d'Or isn't quite as good, but if you enjoyed Birdsong you might like it.

Finally - I really recommend the book "A Very Long Engagement" by Sebastian Japrisot (on which the recent fim was based) - very much in the same vein as Birdsong, but (in my opinion) much better!
