well after the first paper stitches were put on they couldnt hold the wound closed but the nurses I think were too busy to put proper stiches in, this was at my local doctors surgery. the second time I went back in and asked for the proper stiches again they decided to glue the would shut and paper stich it. They then put glue in the wound and didnt hold it closed long enough so the would glued in the open position. They had nothing to reverse the glue. So I got sent home with it glued open. Then I spent the next week when trying to move house keeping the wound moist with waterproof plasters and bathing it in the hope the glue might unstick so I could reclose the would myself. it did unstick but stuggled to close as it had already begun to heal in the open postion with a huge whole in the arm. Now as it stands it still has to finish healing but I have managed to get the wound to heal together. I am still using waterproof plasters to pull the skin together and hold in together while it continues to heal. I do however know have a huge scar which is quite prominant. When the cut was fresh it was a very clean cut and would have stiched up really well with little scarring. I have been though a compllete nightmare and will be left with this scar for life. Therefore I would recommend anyone else in the situation to go get proper sitches and do not except quick alternatives. or try sticking it together yourself it will be far better.

This stuff is called Cica-Gel and it absolutely amazing on scars. I had some quite bad scarring after an op and used this stuff and the scars are now barely visible.
