I only have one at the moment. I fancy making each of the children a personalised, hand sewn patchwork cushion. However, I am pants at sewing, have no patience and the are five of them. Really like the idea though.

Crown green bowls is great fun but, 'cos I no longer live "up north", I don't get the chance to play it these days.

Sandy:
Despite having swimming lessons at primary school, and then again at secondary school (with several years of compulsory after-school lessons for non-swimmers) I never learnt to swim. But,in my 40s, I finally decided to get to grips with the problem. I booked a two day course (with a guarantee of success) with a private teacher, with just the two of us in a health club pool. It was definitely worth the money (around £200 roughly 15 years ago).

1. Go back to playing darts which I had to give up when I broke my ankle.
2. Take up glass painting again .
3. Daily walk along the seafront which is only 200 yards from me but I can't walk that far.

sandy, we got talking to a lady of 65 on the ferry back from spain a few years ago and she was on her way back from having done that walk. i'd never heard of it and was absolutely fascinated. she'd done it all by herself but said she'd met some wonderful people along the way.

Ethandron, I've done the first 112 Km, and the last 108 km. There's just the 500+ in the middle to do now.
Buenchico, I saw an advert recently for adult swimming lessons. I'll check it out.

Chris, so glad you're swimming, nothing like it!...I love it, learnt when I was only 4, by uncle taught me, he was in theRoyal Navy, he was a swimming instructor, you would not believe how many recruits joined and could not swim!....He was great and I was swimming like a fish at 4!...........I am glad that you are now enjoying swimming too!
