I tend to use the bus to go to town it's easier then taking the car,we live around the corner from the last stop.On returning the lady bus driver who was the same one on the way there said " would you like to go all the way " she also came from a eastern european country.

Tee hee, fishing81! I live in a small Island community and the bus drivers often show their unique and quirky personality traits. You can tell the few who've been doing the job too long and are entirely disheartened with the whole of humanity, and on the other hand those who love it and engage with their passengers. We have one notable character who always makes me and OH smile. When you press the bell he announces from the cab (in a voice quite different from the quiet one while taking your fare): "Please Stay Seated Till The Bus Stops, ThankYooooou". And as he pulls away, a "Hold Tight Please". Some people find him annoying, but we think he's endearing. If you stand up before he's stopped, he's been known to remonstrate, and one time when I "Stayed Seated" and some others didn't, he actually thanked me!

I used to like when they had bus conductors on London buses some of them were real comedians ! keep the passengers amused for the whole journey.
