If you google 'book restorers midlands' there are quite a few come up - have a look, I don't have personal experience of any of them.
Failing which, look out an antiquarian book dealer. They should be able to recommend somewhere.

Have done that - was looking for a personal recommendation to be honest but thanks
.
I had an old Bible and a 1716 book restored by Syston Bindery - run by Paul Dodge of the Leic Tigers rugger fame -and was very happy with the results.( Foundry Lane , Leicester)

Flicrat - thanks for that - was it very expensive?
hi

sorry they are based in aston in birmingham
Some years ago now, but I think the total cost was about £80. Don't know what you would think expensive - but they will give you a quote. To me it was money well spent as the books were falling to bits and I wanted to use them and not worry about that. It was a large Bible. I have had about five books done there in toto, but I was working then, so money was less of a worry!!
Question Author
Thanks Flicrat ... they have quoted £70 - which is not expensive, just need to wait until I can afford to get it done now I guess!!
Good luck with the project.1836 is a good age.Don't you love thinkng of all the people who have held and read it?
